The journey itself - and that is well documented - ended after 4153 miles on San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Etym. The origin of the term "Biker's Barbecue" is not totally clear. The every-day English expression "biker" is often used for "cyclist", the word "barbecue" is well known in the sense of "grill party", but might also refer to a "social gathering" in a wider sense. The joint use of both terms points to something like a "grill party for cyclists dropping in", possibly some kind of allusion to the American hospitality.
